1- Open Photoshop and upload the picture you want to use as your background. For this specific task I had to use a landscape picture of the school building.
2- Upload the photo you want to cut out and layer over your background. 3- You then cut around the parts you would like to transfer to the background, using the polygonal lasso tool. In my sculpture there was a small whole that I had to cut out. To do so I used the same tool however clicked subtract from selection before doing so which allows you to cut a whole in the middle. 4- The last step to creating your photoshopped illusion is transferring your cut out sculpture to your background. To do so you must copy your sculpture whilst on the layer with the white background by clicking command c. Then paste it onto your background by clicking command v. |
